Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the TechForward Skills Assessment collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Who we are
The TechForward Skills Assessment (the "Assessment") is provided by TechForward LLC ("TechForward", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Assessment at techforward.ai/skills-assessment and assessment.techforward.ai, including its Contact, FAQ and results pages. Other TechForward websites, including TechForward Academy, have their own policies.
What we collect
- Your answers, saved in your browser. While you take the Assessment, your answers, a random session ID and a count of recent submissions are saved in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device.
- Your results. When you finish, we store your results: the random session ID, recommended track, learning format, knowledge level, scores by skill area, and top strengths and gaps. We do not ask for, and these results do not include, your name, email address or other contact details.
- Messages you send us. If you use the Contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message, and email them to our team so we can reply.
- Emails you start yourself. "Send to Advisor" opens your own email app with a summary of your results. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers process information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Call bookings. If you book a call, you do so through Calendly, which collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To score your answers and show your recommended track, level and learning format.
- To write the explanations on your results page. Your answers and scores are sent to an AI service through our hosting platform to generate this text. Your name and email are never included.
- To understand how the Assessment is used (for example, how many assessments are completed) and to improve it and our programs.
- To reply to messages you send us and follow up about TechForward Academy if you asked us to.
- To keep the Assessment secure and prevent misuse, including limiting how many assessments a browser can complete per hour.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Browser storage and cookies
The Assessment uses your browser's local storage to save your progress. We do not use advertising cookies. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technical identifiers to run and protect the site. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings; your in-progress answers will be removed.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted providers that process information on our behalf to run the Assessment:
- Base44: application hosting, the results database and AI text generation.
- Twilio SendGrid: delivering Contact form emails to our team.
- Cloudflare and GoDaddy: delivering and securing techforward.ai.
- Google Fonts: the site's typeface. Your browser loads font files from Google.
- Calendly: scheduling calls, if you choose to book one.
How long we keep it
- Results are kept for as long as they help us improve the Assessment and our programs. They are not linked to your name or email.
- Contact messages are kept in our email for as long as needed to respond and follow up with you.
- Answers in your browser stay there until you finish a new assessment, clear your browser data, or the browser removes them.
Your choices
You can clear your saved progress at any time by clearing your browser data. You can ask us to access, correct or delete messages and other information you've sent us by reaching out through our Contact page. Because stored results don't include your name or email, we usually cannot tell which results are yours.
Children
The Assessment is intended for people building careers in IT and cybersecurity and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limits on how our systems can be used. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Assessment changes. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
